VAGINAL REJUVENATION
The appearance of the vagina and vaginal lips is an important aspect of sexual intimacy for many women. Large or uneven vaginal lips can cause some women to be self-conscious or embarrassed about the appearance of their genitals during intimate sexual relations.
Large vaginal lips can also cause discomfort in tight clothing, during sexual intercourse and during exercise. In addition skin irritation and hygiene problems may arise. Enlargement of the vaginal lips may be caused by heredity, aging, vaginal delivery or hormonal changes.
Labiaplasty is a Vaginal Rejuvenation procedure that reduces the size of the inner or outer vaginal lips and brings symmetry and balance to the appearance of the vagina. It is usually a same day surgical procedure. Many women find that cosmetic improvement of the labia increases their sexual satisfaction and and improves sexual comfort. Re-enlargement of the labia is rare after surgery.
The procedure is a minor surgical procedure performed under twilight or general anesthesia and excess tissue is removed and self-dissolving sutures are used and do not need to be removed. Patients are able to walk around immediately after surgery and usually reume sexual relations in six weeks. The surgical lines are very small and after healing are often undetectable.
